Countries call on High Commissioner for Human Rights to send urgent mission to investigate human rights in Western Sahara

Geneva (Switzerland), September 13, 2024 (SPS) – A group of countries from various continents has called on the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to send a mission to monitor and investigate the dire human rights situation in Western Sahara, based on the primary mandate of the UN Human Rights Council to strengthen and promote human rights, respect public freedoms, and address human rights violations worldwide without discrimination.
